MEADOW MILK

OUR COWS GRAZE OUTSIDE


Our Holstein-Friesian cows graze outside as much as possible for the entire spring and summer. Cows belong in the meadow and it is part of the typical Dutch landscape. In autumn and winter when it is too cold outside, they stay inside the shed with a panoramic view over the polders. 

Once a week we make about 80 kg of farmers cheese out of fresh milk from our own cows. The other milk goes to a dairy. So it is really small scale production. 

Outdoor grazing

Cows graze outside for at least 120 days a year, 6 hours a day. 

Meadow milk

The milk of our cows can be called 'meadow milk'. 

Natural product

The cheese tastes a little bit different every season, because the grass and milk are a little bit different every season as well.
