OUR STORY

We love farm life. Nature, cows, making delicious farmstead Gouda cheese. It's in our blood. Since 1831, our family has been farming in the polders of Nieuwer Ter Aa at the Sterreschans farm. Although some things have been modernized in the course of time, little has changed on the farm itself and the old cowshed. This is important to us, because it is part of our family history. 

In the seventies, grandpa and grandma Karsemeijer started making farmstead cheese on the farm and we continued doing this to this day. Farmstead cheese is a beautiful, honest and pure product and of course incredible delicious! 

We strive to let people from all over the world enjoy our selfmade farmers cheese. By developing new flavors and organising tours, we hope to surprise people and let them experience the farmers live with a glimpe into old Dutch cheese making tradition.
